Kronborg Castle and Maritime Museum at Helsingor-UNESCO’s World Heritage
15th-century Kronborg Castle is one of the most important Renaissance castles in Northern Europe and has been added to UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites list. Kronborg is known to many as “Elsinore,” the setting of William Shakespeare’s famous tragedy Hamlet, Prince of Denmark.
Nearby is another attraction, the Maritime Museum of Denmark which illustrates 600 years of Danish seafaring history.
